See what your file says about where it came from.
We process your file on our server, then delete it after 6 hours
You see what your file carries: C2PA Content Credentials, EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and PDF or Office document properties. Finding nothing is a normal result, not an error.

How to use it
- 1Upload your filePick an image or a PDF from your device, or drag it into the box.
- 2We read what is insideWe show the hidden data the file carries: the device, the date, and the location if there is one.
- 3Read the reportIt appears on screen, so you learn what would have traveled with the file if you had sent it as it is.
When it helps
Photos and documents carry data you never typed: the camera or phone that took the shot, GPS coordinates, the author and company on an Office file, and Content Credentials describing how an image was made. It travels with the file when you send it. It is also sometimes wrong about your own work, because a picture you took can pick up a record naming an app it passed through, and some sites read those records when they decide how to describe a post.
Common questions
Which files can I check?
PDF, PNG, JPEG, and Office files such as .docx, .xlsx, .pptx and their OpenDocument equivalents.
What if nothing is found?
Then the file carries no metadata we can read, and we say so. That's a normal answer, not an error.
Nothing was found. Does that mean the image was not made by a program?
No. This tool reads the data written into the file. Some image generators also work a faint pattern into the picture data itself, and that pattern is part of the image rather than a field attached to it, so it never shows up in a list of fields and we make no claim about it either way. An empty result means the file carries no metadata we can read, and nothing more than that.
Is my file stored?
No. It is read to produce the list and nothing is kept. The details shown are your own, and they are not logged or shared.
What is a soft binding?
Some Content Credentials also register a fingerprint calculated from the picture itself and kept in a separate database. Nothing about it sits inside your file, so no tool that edits the file can remove it. When we see one, we say so on the result.
