When it helps

Most CV builders were written for Latin text. Arabic breaks them in ways you only find out about after you have applied: letters come out in the wrong order, dates turn into digits an employer’s system cannot read, and the layout flips. This one is built the other way round, and the Word file it produces stores your Arabic as real text rather than as picture-shaped letters.

Common questions

Which file should I send?

Word if you are uploading to an employer’s recruitment system, PDF if you are emailing it or printing it. The Word file keeps your Arabic as text that software can read; a PDF is a picture of a page as far as some CV readers are concerned, and Arabic in particular can come back out of it in the wrong order.

Is there a watermark on the free version?

No. There is no watermark, no page limit and no locked layout. You get the same file whether or not you have an account.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything here works without one. An account exists so you can save a CV and come back to it later, which is the only thing it adds.

How do the two languages work?

It is one CV, not two. Adding a job while writing in Arabic adds the same job to the English side, and you fill in the words. Each download contains one language.

Will my CV pass an employer’s screening software?

We cannot promise that, and nobody honestly can. What we control is the file itself: your Arabic goes into the Word file as ordinary text, in reading order, with dates in Western digits. That removes the failures that come from the file being built badly. What an employer does with it after that is out of our hands.

Why does the date come out as 1993-04-12 and not in Arabic numerals?

Dates and phone numbers are identifiers, not quantities. Software that reads a CV matches them against ASCII digits, so we keep them in Western digits even when the rest of the page is Arabic.
