How to use it

When it helps

In Saudi invitations the date is never one calendar. The Hijri and Gregorian dates are placed side by side on the card, converted on the Umm al-Qura calendar, so you never have to check a conversion yourself.

Common questions

How is the Hijri date worked out?

On the Umm al-Qura calendar, the official Saudi one. The same source that fills the card is the one our Hijri converter tool uses, so the two never disagree.

Can I leave out the time or the date?

The date is required because the two-calendar line is the point of the card. The time is optional; leave it empty and the line simply carries the two dates.

What size does the invitation print at?

A5. Print it on A4 paper with two pages per sheet, or straight onto A5 card if your printer takes it.
