Ramadan & Eid countdown

Days left until Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha.

Runs on your device. What you enter is never sent to us

You see the days left to each of the three occasions, with its Hijri date from the Umm al-Qura table and its Gregorian date. These are calendar dates; the official moon sighting can move the day.

When it helps

Planning leave, travel, and family gatherings around Ramadan and the two Eids starts with one question: how many days are left. A 354-day-year approximation drifts against the official calendar, and printed tables cover only a few years. This tool reads the Umm al-Qura table itself, so its dates agree with the official Saudi calendar.

Common questions

Are these the confirmed moon-sighting dates?

No. They are the calendar dates on the official Umm al-Qura table, computed day-exact from today. The official announcement after the moon sighting may differ by a day.

Which calendar does the countdown use?

The Umm al-Qura calendar, the official civil calendar of Saudi Arabia, on the same table official systems use. The days are counted from today’s date in Saudi Arabia.

Why do other apps show different dates?

Different Hijri tables and astronomical approximations exist, and some disagree with the official table on more than half of all days. This tool follows the official Umm al-Qura table only.

Is anything sent anywhere?

No. The countdown is computed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared.
