When it helps

Cheques, vouchers, and formal invoices spell the amount out in words next to the figures to prevent ambiguity. Writing them out by hand is slow and easy to get wrong, with Arabic grammar for plurals and agreement. The tool produces the words ready to paste.

Common questions

What is the "faqat ... la ghayr" form?

It is the convention used on cheques and formal documents: the line starts with the word "faqat" (only) and ends with "la ghayr" (no other). The tool outputs it ready to paste.

How are the halalas handled?

The amount rounds to the nearest halala. In the currency form the halalas appear as words too, and in the plain-number form any fractional part reads digit by digit after the word for "point".

Does it read Arabic digits?

Yes. The box accepts Western digits 0-9, Arabic-Indic digits ‎٠‎-‎٩‎, and the Arabic decimal separator. The output is always Arabic words.

Is the amount sent anywhere?

No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your numbers are never uploaded, stored, or shared.
